Frequently Asked

Everything you need to know

How does the anti-pinch sensor work?

The sensor detects any bird in the doorway while closing and immediately reverses the door upward, pausing briefly before attempting to close again safely.

Will it keep out large predators?

Yes. The rugged construction and tight bottom seal provide a heavy-duty physical barrier that stops foxes, wolves, badgers, and raccoons completely.

Can it operate in freezing cold?

Absolutely. CochiKix is engineered for extreme weather, functioning smoothly in temperatures ranging from -15°F all the way up to 140°F.

How easy is installation?

Installation requires just six simple steps. Most coop owners complete the setup in under 10 minutes using the included mounting hardware and easy instruction guide.

Can I set custom open times?

Yes. The intuitive LCD screen allows you to program exact morning opening and evening closing times in just seconds to match your flock's natural routine.

Is it suitable for ducks too?

Yes. CochiKix is perfectly sized and engineered to safely accommodate chickens, ducks, geese, and other small poultry breeds.

What power source does it use?

It features an energy-efficient low-power system designed for long-lasting operation, ensuring continuous daily protection with low maintenance.

What if my bird is slow to enter coop?

The intelligent safety sensor ensures that even slower birds are never harmed. If a bird lingers in the doorway, the door retracts until the path is clear.
